We offer four kinds of instrumental music instruction: Lessons, classes, drop-in workshops, and guest artist workshops.

Lessons are best for students who want to pursue a regular weekly course of instruction with a single faculty member, with the goal of continuously developing musical and technical skills. Depending on your schedule and your budget, you can choose from 30-, 45-, and 60-minute weekly lessons, with a minimum commitment of one 12-week session. There are four 12-week sessions throughout the year, so you can start at almost any time.

Classes are for students who want to spend 12 weeks exploring a particular style of music, such as blues or rock, or a particular technique, such as slide guitar, with a single faculty member, in the company of a few other students with the same interest. Drop-in Workshops are led by faculty members and provide a weekly opportunity for participants to play music with others in a coached setting. Drop-in Workshops are perfect for people who don't want to commit to a regular course of study. Learn more.

Guest Artist Workshops are three-hour intensives devoted to a specific style or instrumental technique, most often taught by guest artist teachers who are not regular faculty members.
