Playing in a group has never been so easy.
Want to make music with other people without having to commit to a regular band or small ensemble or enrolling in a weekly class?
And would you like some guidance, coaching, and instruction from a professional performer and teacher so that you learn how to get the most from your ensemble playing?
Welcome to the Drop-in Workshop Universe, where making music with others is easy, simple, and economical.
We keep it simple for you. We host weekly workshops in different musical styles, ranging from one to three hours in length. At the start of each week, the instructor posts a list on our website of the songs or repertoire that will be played in the next workshop. You can either sign up in advance or just show up.
No age or experience requirements. You do need to have a basic familiarity with your chosen instrument. Required music-reading skills vary from one workshop to the next – you’ll find details in the workshop descriptions.
No attendance commitment. Come as often or as seldom as you like. Be prepared to meet other people who share your love of music-making. And we encourage you to get together with other participants outside of the workshops for even more music-making.
The price is right. The drop-in workshop fee is just $10 per hour. Check the full workshop descriptions for session dates and lengths.
