“I am learning to play my instrument and now I want to play with other people, too.”
“I play in a community orchestra, but I want to play trios and quartets, too.”
“I don’t feel ready to tackle the great chamber music literature just yet, but I’d love to start with simpler pieces.”
If you’ve ever thought or said anything like the sentences above, you’re ready for our Beginning Chamber Music class. Each week, you’ll spend an hour learning the fundamentals of listening and playing as a group under the guidance of an expert, sympathetic coach. You’ll choose music with the right combination of technical and musical challenges for your group’s level. In addition to understanding the pieces you are playing, you’ll learn skills you can apply to any piece of music.
