Music: Play easy songs and melodies in a variety of styles.

Guitar for Kids

If your child knows the basics of guitar and wants to improve his or her skills in a small, friendly group setting, this class is the one.

Listening: Recognize rhythms, scales, chords, and chord progressions.

Playing: Read and play notes and chords in several neck positions.

Music: Play songs and melodies in a variety of styles.

Sharing: Perform for your classmates and for an audience.

Beginning Guitar for Kids

Your child can start playing guitar and learning the basics of musicianship in a friendly, small group setting.

Prior experience is not required. If your child does have some knowledge of the guitar, we recommend you meet with an instructor or staff member before enrolling so that we may place him or her in the appropriate class.

Playing: Read and play single notes and strum chords in first position.

Music: Play your first songs and melodies in a variety of styles.

Hand Drums for Kiddos

The perfect introduction to making music for young children! Learn how to play along with songs that have a steady pulse … how to produce different sounds from a single drum … and how different rhythms teach us about different cultures.

Students should have their own hand drum for class and practice at home.  A limited number of drums are available for use in class.
